When I started, it was a mess.

I wanted to be a part of this Digital Marketing world.

Why?

It’s fascinating.

You know people sitting in front of the laptop and making money.

That was the image I have in my mind.

I have no goal and no idea. Where to start? How to start? And what to start?

From Seo to social media to sales to Ad networks and now towards copywriting.

You see my path was like a puzzle.

I wasted way too much time figuring out what works for me.

So, here is my advice.

1. FIND A HIGH PAYING SKILL

Yes, my friend -find a Bloody Good High-Paying Skill.

No matter what others say, once decided stick to it.

It’s not easy to earn money online, especially now.

Because you can see how many companies and people have come online.

So you have more opportunities.

But the benchmark is set higher.

You need to focus on one skill first.

Whether it’s an SEO or Google Adwords or Facebook ads or funnels or COpywriting the list goes on…

First, decide what you what to learn?

Take your time. Research thoroughly.

2. MASTER THAT SKILL

Since you have decided what skill you want to work on.

Stick to it.

Learn it.

Now there are 2 ways to learn a skill:

Option 1: If you have money.

Get a mentor- learn under him.

It’s like a boost to you and your carrier.

You will learn faster.

Option 2- Learn for free.

For this, you need to have thick skin.

Learn from books or other free sites.

Put out what you have learned through videos or by writing about it on social media.

Get feedback( You have to ask people for feedback).

Now, not everyone would be a saint to give you feedback for free.

But there are some nice people out there.

Who might give you some guidance…

seeing how dedicated you are.

So You understand the key is to be consistent.

And you have to show people that you are eager to learn.

3. FIND CLIENTS AND SELL THAT SKILL

When you have mastered the skill.

Now what?

Sell it.

That is why you want to learn it, right?

To make money online.

So sell it.

Find clients. And sell your services.

4. LEARN COLD EMAIL OR CALLING

For finding clients you have to get out of your comfort zone.

Have to send cold emails to your prospects.

And follow up with them.

Scrap emails from LinkedIn, Facebook, or other places.

Great!

5. BUILD A PORTFOLIO

After completing one or two projects.

Ask your clients for feedback and testimonials.

Build a portfolio and showcase the testimonials and your work there.

Then approach more clients.

This time you have experience with you.

You are not a newbie anymore. You are making money and you are experienced.

Now what?

Follow step-1 again and find a new skill.

And repeat to step-5.

That’s it.

Best wishes.

Comments and feedbacks are welcome.
